Immigration procedures

If you plan to study in our country, you will need a student visa. We will tell you how to get one. It is very easy!

 

Once you obtain your letter of acceptance for any educational institution belonging to the National Educational System in Mexico, you must apply in person for a Student Temporary Resident Visa at the Consular office closest to your place of residence.

 

Requirements:

  1. Visaapplication form properly complete and signed.
  2. Passport or valid travel and identity document, original and a photocopy.
  3. Original and photocopy of the letter of acceptance from the institution where the applicant intends to study.
  4. One photograph measuring 3.9 cm x 3.1 cm, face uncovered, no eyeglasses, frontal view, in colour and with white background.
  5. Proof of economic solvency, original and a photocopy of the documents showing that the applicant has a pension or scholarship.
  6. Payment of fees.

 

If you are not a resident of the country where you are applying for the visa, you must provide the original and a copy of the document that proves your valid residence.

 

On arrival to Mexico, present your student visa to the agent of the National Institute of Migration, who will give you a stamped Forma Migratoria Multiple. This form must be exchanged for a Temporary Resident Student Visa at any INM office.

 

Requirements:

  1. Applicationform.
  2. Valid Passport and photocopy.
  3. Valid Forma Migratoria Multiple.
  4. Three photographs measurig5 X 3 cm. it must be in colour, with the face clearly visible without glasses, white background and be taken within the last month. You have 30 calendar days after your admission to carry out this procedure.

Your student card is valid for one year and can be renewed for as long as you are studying.
